We are thrilled to announce the chosen teams for the first round of Encode x Evmos Grants. After receiving numerous exceptional proposals, Encode Club, in collaboration with the Evmos community, has meticulously reviewed and selected the best projects that will drive innovation and benefit the Evmos ecosystem.

Purpose

The purpose of the Encode x Evmos Grants Programme is to support and accelerate innovation within the Evmos ecosystem. By providing funding and resources to outstanding teams and projects, the program aims to unlock the full potential of the Evmos blockchain and drive its adoption. The program encourages developers, researchers, and community builders to create novel solutions in areas such as DeFi, gaming, NFTs, data analytics, education, and more, which contribute to the development and growth of Evmos as a leading smart-contract platform. Through fostering collaboration, education, and support, the Encode x Evmos Grants Programme strives to build a strong and vibrant Evmos community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the blockchain, ensuring long-term success and sustainable growth.

Rules and Program Guidelines

As a reminder, please note the following rules and guidelines for the grant program:

  1. Grants are intended to fund work on a cost-basis, with all costs clearly evidenced via documentation and receipts (where applicable).
  2. Work must be original, or if it is not, there should be a clear expectation that this will significantly reduce the cost of the grant.
  3. The maximum award per tranche/milestone/round is 175k EVMOS, with a maximum grant size of 350k EVMOS over 2-5 rounds.
  4. For all grants, funding is only a commitment, and proof of satisfactory work and evidence of costs is required.

Please note, these recommendations are not legally binding, but merely indicative of the multi-sig's intention to fund projects based on their fulfilling their milestones (with the fulfilment of milestones being judged by Encode Club). The grant program is funded entirely by a pot of money controlled by a multi-sig of Evmos, and while Encode Club is responsible for organizing and facilitating the program, they have no power of execution or control over the program, just organization and advisory roles.
